SOFT AND SPICED GINGERBREAD COOKIES

These cookies are on fire — literally. Our spicy, soft gingerbread cookies are sure to get you in the holiday spirit! (Even if it's not the Holiday season!)

You'll need:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 12 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup unsulphured molasses
  • 2 tbsp milk


How to:

  1. Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, and baking soda in a stand mixer.
  2. Stir until well-mixed then stop mixer to add butter. Mix on low for 1-2 minutes.
  3. While mixer is running on low, slowly add molasses and milk. Mix on medium for another 10 seconds.
  4. On parchment, pat dough into a ball, then cut into two pieces and roll each piece out to 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Place dough in the freezer for 20 min.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°. Remove dough from freezer and start cutting out shapes.
  7. Bake for 8-11 minutes, don’t overbake.

*Dough can be re-frozen, recombined and re-rolled as many times as you need!
