Quick Lighting, Real Wood Firestarters

DURAFLAME® FATWOOD FIRESTARTERS

Duraflame® fatwood Firestarters are reliable real wood firestarters that make it easy to start and enjoy a fire or barbeque anytime.

What is fatwood? Fatwood is a 100% real wood firestarter made from the dense, resin‑rich heartwood of pine trees. Often called lighter wood, pine knot, or fatstick, fatwood is harvested from the stumps of non-endangered pine trees, where resin naturally concentrates over time. This resin‑saturated wood ignites quickly and burns hot, making fatwood a powerful and reliable way to start your wood or charcoal fire. Stack and light 2-3 fatwood firestarter sticks to easily ignite a wood or charcoal fire.

  • Resin-rich wood kindling sticks used to start wood and charcoal fires
  • Real wood with no additives
  • Great for lighting both firewood and charcoal fires
  • Naturally water-resistant kindling sticks light fast and easy, even in damp or windy conditions
  • Use in fireplaces, wood stoves, fire pits, campfires and charcoal grills
  • The naturally-occurring concentrated resin provides a consistent flame to easily start fires
  • No new trees are cut down; fatwood kindling sticks are harvested from tree stumps of non-endangered pines

WHAT IS FATWOOD?

Duraflame® fatwood comes from the tree stumps of non-endangered pines that continue to absorb quick-burning pitch after the trees have been felled. The concentrated resin ignites quickly from one match and generates an intense, sustained flame. No new trees are cut down and no additives have been applied to the product. Duraflame® fatwood is both user and environment friendly.
